What to look for when buying a used car
When it comes time to purchase a car, you may debate between buying new or used. While this sort of debate can be daunting, we’re here to offer up some advice. New cars are great, since you’re the first person to get behind the wheel, but the second you drive it off the lot, it depreciates in value. At Beaverton Car Company, we want you to know that you can get a quality car for less, without the fear that you’re losing money the second you drive away. In case you’re still wary about purchasing a pre-owned vehicle, we have a few tips on what to look for when you’re buying a used car, in hopes they might help you gain peace of mind throughout the shopping process.
Welcome to Beaverton Car Company’s Blog!
Hello! Welcome to Beaverton Car Company’s blog! We’re glad you’ve stumbled upon us. While you’re here, we’d like to formally introduce our dealership and our large variety of services. The first thing we like everyone to know is that we’re a no-pressure dealership. If you’re coming to our lot to browse, we’re not going to put you through the uncomfortable pressures that you normally find at a dealership. We want you to be comfortable from the second you walk onto our lot, whether or not you plan to purchase.
Age and mileage
This one might be fairly obvious. If you’re looking on a used car lot, make sure that you’re finding a model that doesn’t have one foot in the grave (so to speak). Don’t write off an older car if the mileage doesn’t look too awful – it’s very possible that the vehicle is in good condition still. On the other side of the coin, be careful when you’re looking at high mileage vehicles without also investigating the car’s history.
Vehicle history reports
When you’re in the process of purchasing a new-to-you vehicle, make sure that the dealership is providing you with the appropriate information about the car you’re looking at. It’s important to know whether or not the vehicle has had many previous owners, accidents, etc. in order to make sure the value of the vehicle is being considered when it’s being sold. If you do this, you’ll be a happier car owner down the road.
Your trade-in value
Another thing you may want to consider is your current vehicle’s trade-in value. If you’re about to embark on a larger purchase, it’s nice to know whether or not you’ll be able to put some money toward that purchase right off the bat! At Beaverton Car Company, you can buy, sell or trade your vehicle! Check out the tool on our website that helps you figure out the value of your current vehicle.
